It is with broken hearts that the family of Kurtis Cleaveley announce his sudden passing on Saturday August 15th 2020 in Toronto after a workplace accident. Kurtis was born in Orillia on October 24, 1995 to his proud and loving parents Daniel and Dale Cleaveley (nee Sedore). Adored brother of Ashley (Brett) and the late Shawn. Dear grandson of the late Jack and Shirley Sedore, and the late Alvin Cleaveley and Marie Cleaveley-survived. Kurtis will be lovingly remembered by Lauren Holloway and her family. Dearly missed by aunts and uncles Dale (Donna), Alan, Susan (Shawn), Alex (Lisa), Cecil (Kelly) and by his cousins Chris, Derek, Jenny, Montana, Camillia, Travis, Sheldon, Seth, Zackery, Colten, Makenna, Jaden, Micheal, and Haley. Kurtis will be missed by many friends as he touched so many lives. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E Orillia on Monday August 24th from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday August 25th from 2-5 p.m. A private family service will be held on Wednesday August 26th 2020. As the COVID-19 restrictions/mandates continue to evolve, we are placing health and safety of our families, staff and community at our highest priority. In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, we kindly ask that all guests wear a mask and practice physical distancing. Please refrain from shaking hands or having direct contact with each other if not in the same household or their established 10-person social circle. When coming for a visitation, guests are asked to pay their respects to the deceased, acknowledge the family from a safe distance and exit the suite. Once guests exit the visitation suite, we kindly ask them to exit the funeral home to allow other guests the same opportunity. Visitations will be limited to 30% capacity.
