Our families ( the Browns and the Mailings) were friends since before I was born. Doug was just older than me and we all spent time together at our cottage and in our homes. There are many happy memories and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. We had not been in contact for many years, but I was in touch with Gladys until just before her passing and Leslie and I stay in touch occasionally. The friendship between our families runs deep. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Doug and I were old friends from our days growing up in Ancaster. We shared some time at Mohawk College and briefly at the Bar Admission course at Osgoode Hall. We'd long-distance-email reconnected this past Spring. He 'spoke' with such love of you, June, and of the life that you'd made for yourselves.
