I didn't know Ron very long, yet in that short time he became very dear to me. His quiet way of being in the background was a front for his amazing sense of humor and dry wit! He'd take everything in, and then hit you with a one-liner and have you in stitches. :) We met Ron while on holiday in Cuba, and his lovely wife Vicki and I kept in touch. We got together a few times over the years, and each time it was so great to see him. He's gone much too soon, yet his spirit will live on forever in the stories passed down by those who loved and cared for him. Rest easy, Ron - we've got Vicki's back and are here for her! We miss you, yet know you're always near.
Love, Susan
XOXOXO

At night my mind fills with memories of you
Memories of you and me
Memories of what we had then I think is all that gone now ?
But then I remember
I remember those special trips we took
When you would bring me to get ice cream we would fight over the best flavor
When you knew i was right so you smeared Ice cream on my nose
When we laughed together
When I never wanted that day to end
When we got home and laughed at our inside jokes
Everything you did you did with love
I remember when mom and Caden had to go to Toronto on my birthday
When you and Grandma did everything you could to make it the best birthday for me
I remember when you cheered me on to go in the pool for the first time
Even though you refused to go in yourself
Papa you are amazing i can't image what my life would have been without you
Love you Papa
Until we meet again
From your loving granddaughter Paige

Ron you're going to be missed alot by many people that you have befriended. The memories that we all have made with you will be forever in our hearts. One of my favourite memories of you is when you built that firepit in your back yard, you were so proud the smile on your face never disappeared the whole night while sitting around it and you adding the beautiful colours to the flames. Ron I'm so glad that I got to know you and thank you for being my friend. Rest in peace! ❤

Unfortunately I didn’t know Ron that long, but my brother Tim and I always enjoyed stopping by and having several Coors Lights and lotsa laughs and sharing our love of country music and Muskoka life. Ron did some painting work for me and was extremely professional, extremely fair and very talented. We’ve all lost a truly great man and my heart goes out to Vicki and all of Ron’s loved ones. I hope he’s up in heaven listening to all his favourite musicians including Vern Gosdin.

Ron was always a fun and caring man. He loved to make jokes and was always down for fun, fun usually found him as well. He was always welcoming to family and friends in his home at anytime. I remember on family days we would have as a family every year at Vicky and Ron's, he was always up for fun no matter what it was and the challenges against other team
players in any game.. he didn't care what it was as long as everyone was having fun and enjoying themselves. We are all going to miss the fun and loving family man he was and how caring he was with their group of friends and family especially his wife Vicki.
I hope were you are now my friend you are no longer suffering in pain as that was a long haul of suffering and are living in paradise now without pain.Dont worry your wife and family will always have your friends and family to count on when in need and we will always be their support. Till we meet again... I hope you enjoy paradise you lucky man!!:)

My most deepest Condolences to Vicki and family. Ron you will be sadly missed but never forgotten. The most recent memory that jumps out at me is when you and Vicki redid your wedding vowes, Ron you had the most beautiful and biggest smile on your face and that just said it all, you didnt have to say a word cause you were glowing.
Later that evening we all sat around the firepit listening to the live music that was awesome still your smiles were just as big from ear to ear you were in another world and living every moment..
Ron you always made me feel at home. And was an honor to have met you and to call you a friend...
R.I.P Ron may you forever rest in enternal peace...

The relationship Ron and I had changed a lot through the years that he was in my life. Although things might have started off rough for us, the moment I had my children he jumped right in the role of Papa to my kids and a stepdad to me. When I think of Ron now I think about how much love and joy he had when he was around his Grandkids. He would do anything for any one of them, even taking the girls clothes shopping on occasion. Paige and Ron had an amazing bond since she was a baby and know she will always treasure those memories of him. He was so proud to teach Caden to drive the lawnmower and then sit back and watch him do the lawn. Not sure who's smile was bigger on those days. Ron was so blessed to have an amazing group of friends around him who he considered family. I am grateful for these people for not only being so supportive to Ron but for being there for my Mom as well. These last few months were extremely hard for her and and I appreciate everyone who was there for her and continue to be.
Ron i was proud to call you my Step Dad and you made an amazing impact to my kids as their Papa
We love you and will never stop sharing memories of you
Hope your sitting on the coast eating lobster xoxo Love Kim, Caden and Paige

Ron was a fine stand up guy, always had a smile and a story like all his fellow awesome east coasters! Got some advice and tips from him before our road trip out to Nova Scotia....all his suggestions and advice turned to be highlights of the trip! Thanks Ron...Even had a chance to play some east coast music with folks out there and Ron and I had a great talk bout it when I returned. He was a lovely friend and dammed fine man.
Ron made the best fish/seafood soup on the planet!!! We always enjoyed playing music with and for him and Vickie at their get togethers. He will be missed.
Cheers to you Ron, and peace and strength to you Vickie in these hard times.
Lots of love - Pete Harbocian -
