Obituary of Wendy Marie Lahay

LaHay, Wendy Marie Born June 15 1973 and taken from us suddenly and tragically on February 13 2021. Wendy was the devoted and loving mother of Amanda (Daniel and baby Orion), Matthew – predeceased and Michael. She was “The best thing in life” that ever happened for her lifelong love J.J. (Paul). “I will love you until the day I die honey. No one will EVER take your place” J.J. Wendy was predeceased by her beloved father ( Joe Lahay) She leaves behind her mother Catherine Lahay, her 2 brothers Philip and P.J., along with many other relatives and friends. Wendy was a truly a “people person”, always at the ready to go out of her way to help in any way she could. Her Fond love for all animals was easy to see and she cared for many. Wendy could be very outspoken when she felt it necessary and nothing dare get in her way when it came to defending her family “A Momma Bear”. There are no words to describe the senseless loss of this beautiful person. The void she leaves will NEVER be filled. We are all the better off for having the privilege of knowing her and sharing time with her. Due to the current Covid -19 conditions and restrictions, there will be no immediate services. Her cremation has taken place as per her wishes. A small, private celebration of life will take place at a yet to be determined time and place. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be given to the Diabetes Canada or to any animal welfare associations of your choice and may be made to through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E.
