Tarry MacDonald

Obituary of Tarry Lee MacDonald

Tarry Lee Macdonald With utter disbelief and devastation, we announce Tarry’s passing, at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Monday February 22nd, 2021 in her 55th year. Tarry passed with her beloved spouse and partner of 24 years Jonathan (Jon) Beninger and her sister Kristen Macdonald (Chris Chapman, Riley) from Ramara by her side. Loving daughter of Joan Grant and Douglas Macdonald (both predeceased) and granddaughter of Albert and Gertrude Grant (both predeceased). Tarry will be dearly missed by her cousins Danny, David (Noreen), Denise (Hugh), Jon’s parents Robert and Connie Beninger, her brother-in-law Chris and her nephew Zachary. Her sister-in-law Tammy and nieces Hayley and Gabriella, her friends and her fur babies (Romo and Stella). Tarry will also be missed by her Royal Lepage Real Quest Realty work family and her wonderful clients. Tarry was a strong, compassionate and kind person who loved to host parties, loved the water and enjoyed the changing of the seasons. She found the good in everyone and everything, always positive and optimistic. She loved music, lake Simcoe sunsets and enjoyed sitting on the dock - and time with friends and family. Most of all she loved her puppy Romo and her new kitten Stella. Her strength was only matched by her kindness of people and love of animals. Cancer had to sneak up on her, for had she known it was there – it wouldn’t have stood a chance against her. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tarry’s life will be held at her favourite place on lake Simcoe at a later date when it is safe to do so. A very special thank you to the compassion and kindness of the team of Nurses of the fifth floor of SMH, specifically Priscilla, Mitch and Sheri and to the oncology team at RVH. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the OSPCA through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E., Orillia (705) 327. 0221. Messages of condolences are welcomed. www.simcoefuneralhome.ca
