Obituary of John Carson Bull
Bull, John Carson
With broken and heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of John Carson Bull due to a tragic accident on Friday February 5th, 2021.
He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 42 years, Mary Louise, son Mitchell and Krista, daughter Justine and Brian. He was the best poppa to Kohen, Jaxon and Cardella. Survived by his mum Evelyn and father David - predeceased. He luved his family so much and they knew it.
John was born in Toronto on June 7th 1960 but moved to Oro at a young age. His dad and him started Big Cedar Estates together. While doing this John also established John’s Body Parlour, a custom car body and paint shop. The shop closed years later to be with and focus on family more. When Big Cedar was sold his father started Cardella Coach and John joined him again in the same industry to start A Star Service Limousines and Coaches for 21 years. After being a very successful business, the business was sold to pursue another interest. He still had the building for John’s Body Parlour which became the home of A/C Plus Automotive Repairs and Orillia Automotive Appraisers. His son, Mitch joined him a few years later following the footsteps of his father. This is where his true passion for cars exploded. He took great pride in his ‘72 Vette. He also enjoyed his’31 Ford Model A Rat Rod which took him to a different level of fun. And his ’57 Bel Air which he called the “Family Car” for the grandchildren.
Everywhere John went, whether it was personal or business, he made a lot of friends. He was well respected and liked and felt the same of anyone he met. He so enjoyed helping people out which was 24/7 or just answering their questions. John could fix anything that was broke and was known for that even if it was something he had saved for many years, he never threw anything out.
John had a great smile, laugh and loud voice which you always knew where he was. He will be missed enormously by everyone in many towns as he did travel all over with the business, car shows and for fun. What a privilege it was to have John in our lives. He was just the best in everything. There will never be another even close to John, he was a one and only.
John was raised by a strong Baptist family, God and faith were a big part of his everyday life. His favourite bible verse is John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Due to Covid there will be no funeral, John did not want that anyways. When all is clear there will be a car run to the ice cream store – must haves at a car show for John. In memory of John, donations may be made to Living with Jesus in Orillia through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E. Orillia (705) 327-0221.
