Goddard, Darrell Alan
Called Home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Darrell passed away peacefully after a brief illness with ALS at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday March12th 2021 in his 57th year. Darrell was born in Woodsetts, England. He will be dearly missed by his wife Christine Goddard (nee Koop) of 25 years. Proud father of Nathan (Nicole), Emma, Peter, Hannah, and Claire. Dear son of Sidney Goddard (Betty), and the late Marina. Much loved brother of Nigel (Julia), and Jason. Adored son in law of Ed and Katie Koop. Dear brother in law of Robert (Ruth Ann), Edward (Ruth), Katherine Koop, Roseanne Beers (Dean). Darrell will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was a dedicated teacher at OSS and will be missed by his colleagues and students.
Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E. Orillia ***by appointment only*** on Sunday March 14th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Due to Covid- 19 restrictions attendance must be pre-booked. Please call (705) 327-0221on Saturday 9am -5pm and Sunday 9am-12noon for an attendance time. A private family invitation only Funeral Service will be held at the Christian Fellowship Chapel, Severn on Tuesday March 16th 2021. Interment St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia.
