Extending my sincere condolences to Don’s family. First met Don when I was a Park Warden at Sibbald Park and he was stationed at Beaverton. One year later in 86 he was my drill instructor at Brampton. He inspired all of our recruit class to be their best. A very personable gentleman and will be dearly missed.

I was one of the command staff at the OPP Academy back in the mid-1980s. I was truly proud of the Academy Staff which included Don. He always had a smile on his face and was a pleasure to work with. May his memory be a blessing to his family and friends! Rest In Peace Don. Tom Randall

Don was my Drill Instructor at the Academy in 1986. I was posted to Madoc and since Don also started in Madoc, he would spin tales about what a terrible violent place I was going to. He had me shitting bricks before I ever set foot in the town. I ended up spending 32 years in Madoc and it wasn't all that bad. But I will always have fond memories of the fun Don must have been having at my expense. RIP Sir. We'll speak again.
