I first met Steve and his family when I was in kindergarten with his brother Allan and later in our teens we really connected and became good friends. In fact he was one of my best friends and I have missed him dearly since moving away from Orillia. We shared some good (and crazy) times together “back in the day” that I often look back on fondly. We stayed in touch and Steve, bravely, never dwelled on his illness. He lived in the day. It is hard to express how much Steve meant to me. He was unselfishly there for me many times.
Rest in peace bro, perhaps we’ll meet again and reminisce on old times.
