Obituary of Judy Peat
Peat, Judith Caroline
Judith Caroline Peat, born March 20, 1956, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 18.
Judy was born and raised in Toronto but after visiting Orillia 25 years ago she decided it was the perfect place to call home for her and her daughter, Jennifer, whom she loved very much.
Family and friends were incredibly important to Judy. She loved being a grandmother and adored her granddaughters, Maddison and Kaidynn and it brought her much joy to be an instrumental part of their lives.
Judy’s thoughtful, random acts of kindness and silly sense of humour will be missed by those who’s lives she so graciously touched. This is especially true of her very close friends, Janet and Heather and her sister, Evangeline. Judy will also be very much missed by her many other siblings, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family would also like to thank the team of nurses from Bayshore Home Health and from the Couchiching Family Health Team, as well as Dr. Ramy Kamal. Their compassion, care and support made Judy’s final journey a little easier, and she often spoke of how appreciative she was for their care at that most difficult time.
We’d also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Joanne, who selflessly helped and supported Judy during the gaps when friends and family couldn’t be there.
If you would like to honour Judy’s life and memory, please make a donation to your local women’s shelter or to the charity of your choice through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia (705)327-0221.
And, In this time of sadness, please try to recall what Judy told many of us over the years, Dance like no one is watching.
