Obituary of Jim Goodchild

James Frederick George Goodchild “Jim” Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday November 24th, 2021 at the age of 79. Beloved husband and friend of Margaret Goodchild (nee McCleary). Loving father of Susan Herzog (Thomas), Chris Goodchild (Cathy) and Tim Goodchild (Jean). Proud grandfather of Tyler, Sarah, Lindsey, Hailey and Noah. Predeceased by his brothers Wayne Goodchild and John Goodchild (Norma). Loving son of the late George and Stella Goodchild. Jim be missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim's life will be held At the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Friday May 6th 2022 at 11:00 a.m. preceded by a Royal Canadian Legion Service Branch 34. Jim was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34 in Orillia. He cared for the vulnerable in our community.
