Obituary of Allan Charles Marwick

Marwick, Allan Charles Allan Marwick passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Tuesday January 25, in his 79th year. Born and raised in Toronto, Allan found his paradise in Washago. From a young age this place became a central location in the many stories he would tell. Allan's parents Charlie and Lillian (both predeceased) instilled the values of hard work and enjoyment of your surroundings. Allan will be missed by his three boys David (Melaney), Richard (Nicole) and Thomas (Christina) and lovingly remembered his grandchildren Britney, Africa, Jack, Ethan, Riley, Emma and Bella. Though a little gruff at times he always had a soft spot for the grandchildren. Dear brother of Marilyn (Ray) and fondly remembered by his nephew Andrew (Jacquie) and niece Janet. Remembered by dear childhood family friend Wendy Brooks. Allan will be missed by many others that he considered family. His running commentary will be missed from his regular spot in the corner of the arena, watching lacrosse and hockey. Special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Soldiers Memorial IMRS 1 and IMRS 2 who showed tremendous compassion and kindness to Al. In keeping with Allan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held on Friday January 28th, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. If desired, Memorial Donations to Orillia Junior Lacrosse Association can be made through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia (705) 327-0221.
