Obituary of Virginia Diane Sturge

Sturge, Virginia “Ginny” Diane (nee Smallwood) Virginia (88) peacefully slipped away at the Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia early Wednesday January 26th 2022 after bravely battling lung cancer. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Sturge. Loving mother (mum) of Christina Benner (Judson), and Richard Sturge (Kim). Proud nan of Julia, Mitchell, and Jack. She will be missed by her brother Roger Ruthen and his wife Vivian and her niece Julia and nephew Mark. She will also be missed by Roberta Sturge and her nieces Deborah (& Gary), Susan (& Sam) and nephew Paul (& Helen). Ginny will be dearly missed by all that knew her, especially her friends and neighbors on Museum Drive. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia and their dedicated and amazing care staff. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and due to covid no services will be held.
