Dear Tim and family
I first remember your mom as a tennis teacher.I wasn't very good.
We got to know her much better when she and Larry retired to Southampton.
I had no idea where she went after losing your Dad. I should have guessed Orillia.
Please say a prayer and have a large drink in her honor.

Dear Tim and Family, My deepest sympathies to all of you as I received the news of the passing of Your Mom/Grandmother. I was so fortunate to have a telephone conversation with her a few weeks ago. We talked of all the good times in the Orillia Figure Skating Club 50 years ago, when we were both coaches within the club. The old Community Centre, the kids, the costumes and many fond memories. Mary Ellen was a sweet lady, warm and kind and very organized with all her little kiddos on the ice. I have many unforgettable memories of her as we spent countless hours together over the years. And I will remember your sister too, Shari, as we called her back then, with her curly pony tail. A sweetie as well. I feel blessed in knowing them both. Tim, as I didn’t get to know you as well, back then, I pray for comfort and strength as you continue forward, in knowing that I’m sure, the two of them are together again brushing up on their skating skills. I was saddened to hear that Mary Ellen has passed recently. Joining the Orillia Figure Skating Club after our move to the city in 1967, Mary Ellen was my local coach, being very patient with me as I worked through my tests and developed as a competitive skater. My thoughts and prayers are with family members.

Kathy and I are sorry to hear of Mary Ellen's passing . We purchased her home in Southampton back in 2017 . We meet with her several times and she was always lovely and welcoming. She even left us a beautiful note before she moved to Orillia .
