Obituary of Doreen Ann Wood

Wood, Doreen Ann Her heavenly family has now greeted her with open arms on Wednesday February 16th, 2022, at the age of 72. Daughter of the late Richard and Anne Yule. Wife to Barry and mother to Danny (Ron) and David (Shawna). Grammie will be missed by grandchildren Mackenzie, Hailey, Emma, Abbygail, Liam, Aydan, Ethan, Mason, Aaron, Justin and Andrew. Sisters by birth, friends by choice, Jackie Gumbrell – predeceased, Josie Burke (Daniel) and Jeannette Fitton. Brothers, Bartholomew Yule (Barb), Richard Yule (Ruth), Philip Yule and Johnny Yule. Doreen loved life and didn’t go out without a struggle to hold on to it. Her positive attitude and support from family carried her through the tough times this past year. She loved her grandchildren very much and cherished her memories of times spent with them. That’s correctomundo Grammie. She loved both her animals, as well as everyone else’s. Her love of Disney will be thought of through everyone that knew her. Her passion and dedication for her work continued until the end, as she held her ladies in high regard. Her bright smiling face will be missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to Doreen’s daughter in law, Shawna Wood who supported Doreen to her many appointments, and advocated on her behalf. We say goodbye for now, until you greet us on the other side with open arms. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held at a later date.
