Obituary of Bob Doan

Doan, Robert Kenneth It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Robert Kenneth Doan on April 2, 2022 in his 78th year, surrounded by family. Leaving behind his beloved partner Donna Black of Orillia, her children Adam (Rachael), Nicole (Justin), and Brooke. Loving "Papa" to their children Edie, Mara, Morgan, and Tucker. Predeceased by his mother, Alberta Doan, Orillia. Also in grief are his brother Bill (Jean) of Crysler, and their children Kathryn (Adrian), Elizabeth (Peter) and Laura (Ray) and their children. Bob was a talented artist, jewelry maker, and metalworker. His latest project, Papillio Planta in Tudhope Park was a great source of pride for Bob and his loved ones. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to celebrate his life the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E. Orillia on Wednesday April 13th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Private interment to follow. The family gives special thanks to Joanne and the Bayshore team and the nurses and PSW’s of Mariposa House Hospice.
