Don was one of the most genuine people I've met. He never hid his feelings on something and would tell you like it is. He was also very kind and helpful. I really only knew Don through work but when I would call for some assistance or the odd time he would call me we would always end up having a chat. Even when he was away from work he told me I could call and he would do his best to help. It's sad to know I won't be able to have those chats again. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family and friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

From best hunting and fishing buddy growing up to best man at our wedding, Don played a major role in our lives that will be cherished forever. We will never listen to the song “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” without thinking of Don and our many memories of blaring tunes on the stereo, getting together for a fun night of cards, and hanging out with our kids at the cottage. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cathy, Lyndsay, Melissa, and their families.

Donny was a dear friend and next door neighbour for 12 years. We spent every Friday night playing cards and enjoying each other’s company. Our kids grew up together and we have many great memories to share. We will miss his laughter and funny stories. May you Rest In Peace until we see you again. ❤️

The day our first child was born we moved across the street from the Flemmings. That was the start of a 30 year friendship. My early years of marriage of me getting in trouble with the Mrs always seemed to have Donnie involved somehow. From wreaths to watertfights to one to many whisks. Not sure how I survived. The one thing I learned was the heart and sole of a good neighbor. As a young family Donnie was always there to lend a hand. I learned how to change brakes on a car, to ice fish, to skin a buck, a so much more all from this man. We take for granted so many things in life, the most is time, we think we have it. If I had the power of a wish it would be to spend five more minutes with my friend, my brother. I will miss you.

Our families sincere condolences to the Flemming family. Don will always have a special place in my heart. Not only was he a mentor and coworker, he was a special friend. I have so many memories that I will cherish forever and will miss Don daily. He truly was one of the greatest guys I’ve ever known. Don was always willing to help others and had one of the most memorable laughs. I know I speak for so many others when I say he was one of a kind. Rest In Peace my friend ❤️
