I had the joy of visiting with Shirley many times on behalf of our church. She had an amazing story of persevering and such tremendous strength. She had a beautiful smile, a kind heart and a love for the Lord. She never complained and was just so happy to have a visit from a friend. I will miss my time with her and treasure the memories and stories she shared. My prayers for peace and comfort to her friends and family.

Shirley and Mom were not only cousins but best friends for over 75 years. Though she was Mom's cousin she was always Aunt Shirley to us. She never judged us but was always there to talk to or be a shoulder to cry on. She is now reunited with her husband "Cowboy" as we called him and with her nephew Kenny Hoover and beloved niece Darlene Hoover Moore. We will miss your phone calls to check how we and our families are and let us know what was going on in your life.
Love you always Aunt Shirl.
Debbie, Cyndee and families.
