Obituary of Neil Anthony

Anthony, James Neil: Born March 9th, 1937 Neil passed away at Mariposa House Hospice on Friday July 22, 2022, in his 86th year. Neil was born and raised in Bermuda and moved to Canada in the late 1960’s with his family. He leaves his loving wife Mary Marguerite Finlan of 62 years, and their children Susan Anthony (Tom), Patty Gofton (Bill), Dan Anthony (Carol), Michelle Duff (Terry) Scott Anthony, and grandchildren Sydney (Ashton), Emily (Eric), Iain (Justine), Neil (Hailey), Matthew, Ashley (Stevie), Samantha (Tyler), Katie (Robby), Emma (Taylor) and Great Grandchildren Landon, Annie and Audrey. Remembered lovingly by his sister-in-law Marjorie (brother Keith – deceased) and Family, Dr. Pete Gaulin brother-in-law) and Family. The son of the late James Gibb Anthony and Rose Moura. Neil served with the Bermuda Rifles Regiment. Neil’s involvement with The Champlain Music Makers fulfilled his lifelong passion for music. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Mariposa House Hospice, Emergency Personnel who assisted in his care. Thank you to the staff at Champlain Manor for their kindness. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Orillia.
