Barb Allen, Sherry and Carrie Ann - I write to express to the family the sincere condolences of the Patricia’s on the passing of Bob Allen. I cannot say with full confidence that I met your husband as he was five years my senior. However, he was a Patricia, and we try to not forget our great soldiers. His service was obviously continued in the Corps of Commissionaires, and he supported the service clubs. All good. The Regiment remembers Bob's service, and the family I am sure are proud of that service. His name will be read in this year’s list of the lost when we read that out on November 11th, 2022 in the Sacred Space in Beechwood, the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa. His name will also be listed in the 2022 edition of the Patrician’s Last Post section, published in March 2023. Thank you for obviously supporting Bob throughout his service and later - especially wife Barb and those 56 years together - that is a long stretch. We are glad that he had a vibrant family. I Thank you so much he would be very Happy that you responded he was proud to serve his country even though he could never get help from the Veteran Services they always denied him so i appreciate the recognition
