Obituary of Anne Louise Cooper
Cooper, Anne Louise
On October 2nd, 2022 at the Leacock Care Centre in Orillia, Anne Cooper (Mum and Nan) succumbed to the disease, Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s has taken so much away from Anne throughout the past years, but despite these hardships, she has continued to bring people together through her magnetic personality and love for life. Whereas Alzheimer’s can leave people isolated and take away their voice, Anne proved that it is possible to meaningfully fight back. Her unrelenting love and strength continued to unite both family and care workers until her final hours. She passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Wendy, and in the presence of her son Mark watching over them both. Anne loved her family deeply. She is predeceased by her husband Earl Cooper, parents Harold and Leila Lang and sister Joyce McKenzie. Survived by her daughter Wendy Cooper-Parkinson (Christopher), son Mark Cooper (Christine); grandchildren Lucas (Stacy), Sarah (Kevin), Mandy (Craig), Katie (Beau), Nikki (Cam); great- grandchildren Cohen, Avie, Wyatt, Cole, Jake, Natalie, Melanie, Cooper and many nieces and nephews; as well as her two best friends, Claire Campbell and the late Chris Waller. Anne will continue to bring people together as her family will be hosting a Celebration of Life. Details to come. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E. Orillia (705) 327 0221.
