Obituary of Karen Anne Short

Short, Karen (nee Totten) Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family on September 30th, 2022, at the age of 60. Karen had a pure heart of gold who loved unconditionally and endlessly. She will be sadly missed by her devoted partner Ted and her beloved son Justin (Colleen). Karen was the daughter of the late Albert Totten and is missed greatly by her loving mother Peeny (late Fred). Grama Karen was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Keegan, Thayson, Cole, Brynlee and Rowan, who were the joys of her life. Karen was the beloved sister of Michael, David-predeceased, Christina, Selena, Robbie- predeceased, Ryan and stepbrothers Shane and Dale Lloyd. Karen was the granddaughter of the late Norm and Bea Buchan and Dave and Florrie Totten. Karen will be missed by many nieces, nephews and by her many close friends who she cherished and would routinely check on. A celebration of her life will take place on Sunday October 23rd at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34 in the Vimy Room from 2-5 p.m. The family would like to invite all who knew Karen to join us there.
