My son, Patrick, knew Kayla more than I did, as he is a close friend of her brother Kyle. While he has many memories of her, I don't have many. However, when Kayla was 16, I asked Brenda if I could borrow their van to drive the boys to Wonderland. She said yes, and Kayla and her friend wanted to come along, so of course I said yes. You would expect two 16 year old girls to want to be on their own, but once we got there, she was a delight. She was so mature and responsible and we all had a fantastic day hanging out together. We are so sad that she is gone too soon. - Penny and Patrick Waugh
