Obituary of Richard Ben Wright

Wright, Richard Ben (Proud Owner/Operator of R.B. Wright Haulage) After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Richard Wright passed away peacefully at home in Sebright with his family by his side on Tuesday December 13th, 2022, at the age of 59. Born in Orillia, predeceased by his parents Ben and Marilyn Wright. Beloved husband of Nicole Wright (nee Payie) for 28 years. Proud father of Adam Wright (Kearstyn Lucas), and Trevor Wright (Victoria Trace). Loving grandad of Camdyn and Colson. Dear brother of Chris Wright (Liz), and Clayton Wright (Joan). Richard will be missed by his nieces, nephews, family and close friends. Anyone who knew Richard, knew his love of life, family, beer, country music and a good road find. As owner/operator of R. B. Wright Haulage for 39 years, Richard loved being behind the wheel of his truck. Many business contacts became good friends and family to him, and they will feel the loss he has left in their lives. In keeping with Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will be held at his home, 61 Dartmoor Road Sebright on Saturday January 28th 2023 at 2 p.m. (Richard says “Book your colonoscopy”) In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia (705) 327-0221.
