Renate holds a special place in my heart. We met at church in the 70's while she lived in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA. She was a seasoned nurse and I was a new nurse and we instantly connected. After Renate moved back to Canada, we stayed in contact by snail mail correspondence. Renate was a very special person and I will miss her. My husband and I pray that the memories of Renate and the fact that she is home with the Lord will comfort the family during this difficult time.

To Renate’s family,
We are so sorry for your loss.
We have wonderful memories of our neighbours (Renate and Rosa) on Charles Rd. We can still see her cutting the grass “on the hill” with her new self propelled lawnmower! She was always on the go….working in her flower beds, shovelling snow or volunteering at the SPCA.
We kept in touch with our Christmas cards over the years. We will miss hearing from her.
Thinking of you all at this time.

Our prayers and condolences on the passing of Renate. She was a faithful member of our church, although Covid kept her away physically.
I really just got to know her a little better in the last 6 months or so on our drives to Barrie so she could do her banking. She told me about her life before coming to Canada and it gave me a little more appreciation to what it must of been like for a young girl to leave everything she had known behind to come to a new country.
