Obituary of Sam Genovese

Genovese, Salvatore “Sam” It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sam Genovese on March 9, 2023, at the age of 65. He is survived by his wife, Rosario (nee Ferreira). Cherished father of Carolina Coutinho (David Vidal), Danielle Genovese (Michael-Vincent Cordi), and Daniel Genovese. Beloved brother of Margaret Radice (Nick), Vito Genovese (Kathy), Sue Nero (Jack), and his many nephews and nieces. Nephew of Mary Telesca and beloved son of the late Angela (nee Russo) and the late Donato Genovese. He will be dearly missed by many, including family, friends, and colleagues. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E, Orillia on Monday March 20th, 2023, from 1 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. Also, on Tuesday March 21st, 2023, from 11:30 -12:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Columbkille’s Roman Catholic Church, 4993 ON-12, Uptergrove on Tuesday March 21st, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be made through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E., Orillia (705) 327 0221.
