Obituary of Robert Stephens

STEPHENS, Robert (Bob) W. of Orillia, ON (formerly of Port Stanley ON, Woodstock ON, and Sydney NS) passed away at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on April 1, 2023, in his 82nd year. Survived by daughter Tess Stephens, son Sandy Stephens, and son Rob Stephens. Survived by grandchildren Jason Ebert, Seth Stephens, Anna Stephens, Brayden Stephens, Benjamin Stephens, and Tiessa Stephens. Also survived by sister Judith Rapson (the late David) of Orillia ON, and brother Donald Stephens (Alice) of Ajax ON. Remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pre-deceased by his parents Elsie and Oliver Stephens, sister Grace Pellow and her husband James, and brother-in-law David Rapson. Bob worked for 32 years with the Canadian YMCA in Montreal, Halifax, Barrie, Sydney, and Woodstock. He also worked for 12 years in the Mental Health and Development Services field at Crest Support Services in Lucan, ON, retiring in 2011.Throughout his career he was active in Lions Club, Rotary Club, and was an active volunteer with United Appeal and Big Brother organizations in each city where he worked.
