Obituary of Belva May Pethick

Orillia Today Orillia Matters Website Pethick, Belva May (nee Wilson) Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in her 89th year. Belva was born in Peterborough, Ontario on May 15, 1934 and predeceased by her parents James and Mabel Wilson. Beloved wife and high school sweetheart of the late Ronald Pethick (2006). Cherished mother of Jacqueline Wielusiewicz (Edward), Joni Pethick (Paul Sheridan) and Laury McCullough (Tyler predeceased). Much loved grandmother of Christopher (Olivia), Andrew (Aleksa), Stephen (Christine), Aaron (Cassie) and Alexander. Much loved great grandmother of Isabelle, Madeline, Harry, Elliot, Lark, Zoe, Luca, and Callan. Survived by sister Sally and brother Steve, and sister-in-law Cathy. Predeceased by sister Vedra, brothers Robert, James, and Charlie. Belva will be missed by her many treasured nieces and nephews. Belva was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Woolidge for many years before embarking on her second career as a local Real Estate agent. She was a member of the Orillia Quota club , the Silver Q , the Carry-on club, Twin Lakes Probus and the Orillia Branch 34 Legion. Belva was also a former volunteer at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. She was a loving energetic mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed. May she rest in peace and be reunited with Ron, her family, friends, and fur babies. Cremation has taken place. A service of celebration of Belva’s life will be held at Panoramic Point Multi-Purpose Room at 354 Atherley Road Orillia Ontario on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Spring interment St. Andrew’s St. James Cemetery, Orillia. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Fund or our local SPCA.
