Lackenbauer, David Stephen It is with great sadness that the family of David Stephen Lackenbauer announce his sudden and tragic passing at his family home in Orillia on Monday September 4th, 2023, at the age of 35. Dave will be forever remembered by his wife of 5 years Krystie Lackenbauer (nee Kingdon), for they had so many more adventures to take and memories to make. Dave was a proud and loving father to Brooke Winget, Kali Thompson, and Oliver Lackenbauer, he will be greatly missed. A father and husband like him are rare, one that was so patient, smart and kind. A father like him every kid needed and every wife wanted, full of smile and laughter, confidence and strength nothing can replace a father and husband like him. Dave was born in Kitchener, cherished son of the Steve and Wendy Lackenbauer. Dear brother of Joel (Chantelle), and Dylan, He was a dedicated hard working man who was employed at Kubota. Dave was the light that lit up the room and if you had the pleasure of meeting him he was sure to make an impact on you, he will be eternally missed by many family and friends. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Join us in a Celebration of Life at The Quality Inn Orillia on Sunday September 24th at 3:00pm to remember and celebrate our beloved Dave.
