Obituary of Donald Charles Balkwill

Balkwill, Donald Charles Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday September 23, 2023, at the age of 81. A lifelong resident of Orillia, Don is predeceased by his parents William and Velma Balkwill. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Walker) for 63 years. Loving father of Michael (Tracy), Paul (Kelly), Dan (Peggy), and Peter (Tracey). Proud grandfather of Ashley, Michelle, Craig, Kyle, Courtney, Nicole, Kristi, Cody, Curtis, Khole, Chris, and Emma; great grandfather of 10. Dear brother of Art-predeceased, Shirley Hardy-predeceased, Bob (Donna), Betty Jorgenson (Dick-predeceased), Bev-predeceased, Marilyn Paine (Art-predeceased), Walter, Elaine Hanson, Merna Stagg-predeceased. Don will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
