Hexemer, Gerald (Jerry) Austin

On Monday September 25th Gerald (Jerry) Austin Hexemer of Oro Medonte passed in his home. Husband of Mary for 60 years, loving father of Suzanne Hexemer (BC) Michael and April Hexemer, Matthew and Tracy Hexemer. Proud Grandfather of Kristin, Bryn, Jack, Felix and Trent. Great Grandfather of Lucy Amelia and dear brother of Elaine Bayne. Predeceased by his parents Doris and Austin Hexemer. Jerry is survived by his Aunt Alice Sherk, Aunt Gloria Campbell and Uncle Louis Willick and many cousins. Jerry was born in Chippewa, Ontario in 1941. He was employed by Canteen of Canada in Barrie, Ontario for 34 years. Jerry was a skilled woodworker, hot rod enthusiast and devoted Blue Jays fan. He loved his Kubota tractor and 95’ GMC “pickle”. If you popped by his Oro garage you would have seen several projects underway, friends socializing and the ballgame playing in the background. A celebration of life will be announced in the coming months.
