Len was a great friend, One of the best teachers/instructors the Ski Patrol ever had, so dedicated that it put other people to sham. Seeing him at Le Massif was such a treat its hard to believe. We'd missed each other for so many years and then to just meet again like that was such a treat. It brings me to tears that he has passed away, but the memory that he had passed along his skills and passion for helping others should be an example for all of the rest of us to emulate and try to match. Len I had the greatest respect for you and I always tried to meet the standards that you set. You will be greatly missed. Soren Madsen

Sending sincere condolences. I have very fond memories of Uncle Len. Teaching me how to ski as a child. So many visits to your home on Mary Street with my mom. I always appreciated his kind words, the memories and stories that he had to share.

I'm sorry for your loss. I met Len I think in the late 70's while he was teaching a masonry course at Georgian College. I was and am a Karate guy, and Len was a Judo guy. He ended up hiring me to work on his summer crew and I stayed working for him for a summer and fall. Great guy, great stories. I recall his nickname was the "ripper" as he had allegedly torn a sleeve from a Judo gi while he was in the military. No easy feat.

To Shirley, Wendy, Gary and Jennifer and family, my thoughts go out to you at this time. I am so sorry for your loss. Wendy, it has been many years since I have seen your dad, but always remember him walking into your back rec room on Mary St. with all of us girls from nursing hanging around. Your parents always made us feel at home, and put up with all of our antics. I fondly remember your father’s dog Shodan and Sandan, and how he cherished them. Tina JARVINEN
