Obituary of Margaret Doreen Anderson

Anderson, Margaret Doreen (nee Wenman) Doreen passed peacefully at Oak Terrace, Orillia on Thursday November 16, 2023 in her 93rd year. She was born April 11, 1930 in Corderre, SK to Hugh & Stella Wenman (predeceased); and older sister to the late Dean Wenman. She was married to her high school sweetheart, David Anderson for 56 years and they shared a loving and supportive partnership until his passing in 2010. Doreen was a dedicated mother to her extra special, ‘chosen’ children Jeffrey (Debra) Anderson, Paudash Lake, ON; and Jaylene Anderson-Draper (Michael), Ramara, ON. She embraced community life wherever she lived and was active in Order of the Eastern Star, Cobalt; Haileybury Curling Club, and Golf Club; St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Halieybury; Orillia Prostate Cancer Awareness Group; The ‘Silver Q’, Orillia; and tirelessly volunteering in many other activities. Doreen’s children extend their sincerest thanks to the attentive and enthusiastic Care Team on the 1st Floor at Oak Terrace for making mom’s last year cheerful and comfortable.
