Obituary of Adrian Edwin Brammer

Brammer, Adrian Edwin Retired from Waypoint after 32 years/RPN and Clinical Security and Safety Trainer. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday November 20th, 2023, at the age of 60 years. Following a courageous almost 2 1/2-year battle with cancer. Loving husband and best friend of Maureen Brammer (nee Bungay) for 36 years. Loving and proud father of Andrew and Katherine Brammer. Cherished son of the late Albert and Maureen Brammer. Dear brother of Susan Mercer and Ashley Brammer (Wendy). Adrian will be surely missed by his furry companion Cooper. Loved son-in-law of Marilyn Bungay (Tom – predeceased). Dear Brother-in-law to Lyn LaFraugh (Stan – predeceased ), Kathy and Richard Black and Karen Bungay who always gave Adrian the best hugs. Special nephew to Patt Carter and Anne Sullivan. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, cousins, his extended family in England and his many friends, especially Tim and Susan Lovering, Janet and Rob Hazlett and John Patterson. Adrian appreciated all the people in his life and wasn't afraid to tell them so. Adrian was born in England and moved to Canada with his family at the age of 10 1/2 months. Most of his young life was spent growing up in Warminster, Ontario where his days were filled with adventure. The stories he could tell and he did repeatedly. He graduated from Park Street Collegiate in Orillia followed by the RPN program at Georgian College. He began his career at Oak Ridge (Waypoint) where he worked until he retired. Adrian loved his job and was very proud of his work especially in his last several years as Trainer. In his role with CPI he earned Meritorious status and taught over 4000 staff members. Adrian and Maureen were high school sweethearts who met in 1982 through mutual friends and married 5 years later. In their 41 years, they may not have travelled the world, but they did travel this life together, hand in hand, with lots of love, tons of laughter and two incredible children by their side. Adrian loved many things, the outdoors, cars, motorcycles, boats, fishing, canoes, a good book, animals especially his favorite cat Cooper and his beloved dog Cindy predeceased. Special thank you to OSMH, RVH Cancer Center and RVH Stroke and Rehabilitation Unit for the amazing and compassionate care given to Adrian. His Doctors especially Dr. Sochaniwskyj, Dr. Tillman, Dr. Li and Dr. Stephens. The Bayshore Nurses especially Julia, Happy at Home especially Susan, Hospice Orillia and everyone in the home and community care network. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday December 2nd 2023 at the Couchiching Golf and Country Club from 1 - 4pm. Adrian wanted a party and would ask you all to come as you are, to not grieve for him but to celebrate him and reminisce about the time you spent together.
