Obituary of Walter Woodrow

Woodrow, William Walter Barry Unexpectedly on Sunday, December 24, 2023 William Walter Barry Woodrow passed away from covid complications. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Alanna (Beausoleil), his step-son Rob Craw (Cyndy), his daughters, Laura Woodrow (John Lapp), Lisa Pokorny (Nick) and son Matthew (Farren). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Elizabeth Goldsworthy, Bobby Craw (Tori), K.C. Craw, Lexi Downard (Cam Provenzano), Jessica Downard (Travis Duddy), Julia Downard (Matt Liddard), Alekzandr and Marek Pokorny and Carter Woodrow and his great grandchildren Lokley, Ayla and Violet. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Murray and Isobel Woodrow, his in-laws, Allan and Eleanor Beausoleil, sisters, Patricia Munro, Isabel Woodhouse, Sandra Elliott, and his brother Clifford Woodrow. He is survived by his sister-in-law Joan Woodrow and brother-in-law John Beausoleil (Kathy). A memorial service will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street. East Orillia on Thursday January 4th , 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception. Burial will be in the spring at Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Oro-Medonte Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street. East Orillia (705) 327 0221.
