Obituary of Ruth Stewart

Stewart, Agnes Ruth March 6th 1932 – December 25th 2023 Passed away peacefully at the Birchmere Retirement Residence in Orillia on Monday December 25th , 2023, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late John Alvin Stewart. Wonderful and dedicated mother to Richard Stewart (Lynn), David Stewart – predeceased, Dianne Beaton (Richard), Carolyn Stewart (George Keetch), Micheal Stewart (Sandra), Susan Stewart- predeceased, and Andrew Stewart (Katherine). Proud and dotting grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Ruth was an avid quilter and loved to sew and knit. We all have personal treasures made by mom as do many of our friends and relatives. She enjoyed gardening with the planning, digging, and planting a variety of her favorite flowers, roses holding a special spot in her heart and yard. She was also well known to share her favorite butter tarts on numerous occasions. We will miss her greatly and will hold on to our precious memories of her and our times together. Thanks to the special PSW’s and Nurses, there’s a lot to be said when you make a person smile just by walking into the room. Also, thanks to the Bayshore nursing and LHIN organization, we are very grateful for everything you have done for us. Cremation has taken place. Her celebration of life will be very private with only immediate family as per her wishes.
