Obituary of Brian Ward

Ward , Edward William Brian Passed away at Spencer House in Orillia on Tuesday February 6th , 2024, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Jo-Ann Ward (nee O’Brien) for 60 years. Proud and loving father of Mark Ward (Ann Parrent) and Lea Fraser (Craig). Cherished PaPa of Liam (Lindsey) and Ian Ward. Dear brother of Wayne (Zita) and Marlene. Predeceased by Kelvin, June, Ronald, and Muriel. Brother-in-Law of Eric O’Brien (late Ann) and predeceased by Jim, Leon, and Bill. Brian will be missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and all his many travel adventures. While working at Home Depot he used his people skills and love of helping others. He was a proud plaid man. We encourage you and in honor of Brian, to please wear your favorite plaid. A celebration of life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Friday February 23rd, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Simcoe County, the OSMH Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
