Doug's family....My condolences to you all. I enjoyed many a chat and chuckle with Doug while living in the same building. There were few topics we didn't touch on but what really stands out for me was his pride and enjoyment of time spent with the grandsons. They certainly held a special place. In the few years of passing conversations we covered lots of topics, his work with MNR and much more. I always enjoyed that he was very up to date on issues local to global and could listen to other points of view with great respect. We were in the same place long enough that I saw his bicycling activity change to more use of his car and after I left, enjoyed running into him in Couchiching Park while he took in the activity around him and worked on his daily crosswords,
I am sure you will all miss him but hold some great memories to keep him in your hearts. I know I will always remember him with great fondness.
