Obituary of Leonard Charles Rowan

Rowan, Leonard Charles Leonard Charles Rowan, beloved husband to DJ, peacefully departed this life on April 3rd, 2024, at the age of 75, after bravely battling brain cancer. Len was born in Huntsville on May 1st, 1948, to John and Phyllis Rowan. Brother to Sharon (Walter-deceased), Terry-deceased (Kris), Tim (Diane-deceased), Pat (Linda) both deceased, Kristine (Kit)(Neil), and Kathy (Keith). Married Donna Jane Henshaw on June 23, 1973. Sons Steven, with daughter Dae and son Sterling, and Aidan with wife Liz and sons Avery and Ethan. Len will lovingly be remembered by all his nieces and nephews and their families. He has an extended family of all who have known him. Len's love for hunting and fishing passed on, and he could often be found in the company of his kids, nieces and nephews or out in the middle of Tasso Lake. He was known for his booming voice and sense of humour. His infectious laugh will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of life will be held on May 5th from 1pm-4pm at the Huntsville Royal Canadian Legion. Memories of Len and messages of condolence are welcomed at www.simcoefuneralhome.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huntsville Royal Canadian Legion or Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
