Obituary of Peter Russell Luciw

Luciw, Peter Russell Peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 25, 2024, in his 91st year. Peter, best friend, and spouse of 65 years to Nora Helen Luciw (Reynolds). Loving father of Paul, Pauline (Lawrence), Susan (Jeff), and Brenda. Amazing Grandpa to Jamie (Jon), Ben (Natalia), Hannah, Greg, Hailee (Leyson), and Holly (JP). Great Grand Dad to Franklin. Loving best friend and caretaker of many family pets as well! Peter was born in Hazel Dell, Saskatchewan, on November 2nd, 1933, to William and Jean. He was the youngest brother of Alex, Carol, and Pauline. Peter served in the Air Force, traveling extensively throughout Europe during his military career. While stationed in Chatham, New Brunswick, he met the love of his life Nora, and together they raised four children. Peter was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He loved music and needed little encouragement to play and sing all of our old favourites. He was always available for a round of golf or to help fix pretty well anything. He had a passion for food, demonstrating his Ukrainian heritage at all holidays with his cabbage rolls and perogies. His recall of bad jokes was second to none. Peter was an extraordinary person! He will be greatly missed by all of us. A private service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
