Obituary of Irene Lahay

Lahay, Alice Irene Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Thursday May 30th, 2024, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Archie Lahay. Loving mother of Debra Lahay (Lyle Gammon) and Murray Lahay. Proud grandmother of Jenna Beard (Josh), Megan Gammon (Mat Dykstra) and great grandmother of Rylan, Aria, Kayla, Olivia, and Violet. Dear sister of May Readman and Ken Jelley - both predeceased. Irene will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. The family wish to extend a sincere thank you to the Leacock Care Centre Staff for all of their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place, visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Thursday June 6th, 2024, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Private family interment Sta Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery Orillia.
