Oh what to say about Joe? I just learned of his passing two days ago, I used to live in the same building as him. His dog zorro absolutely loved my dog Nala, and that’s how we started our neighborly friendship. I then started dating a Portuguese man, David Santos, and that brought Joe and I even closer. As well, around the time of starting to date David I realized my friend Erin (by the dogs head, I’m laying at her back, and my mom no Joe in other pics)had known Joe for some time and would stop in at his place quite often to make sure he was ok, as she is a psw and has an affinity for elderly people. Joe would bring me up to his place to have a chat, I tried and succeeded at learning some Portuguese words with the help of Joe. He would always try to feed me, I didn’t feel comfortable taking from an elderly person on a fixed income (potentially?) so I would just have a coffee and listen to him play piano and sing, all while trying to avoid the bites from his conure! I hope Joe is resting peacefully now, and I know David and Erin would be saddened by his passing as well, when they hear the news of they haven’t already.
My deepest sympathies for his family and loved ones.

Mr.AMARAL was a very special person to us. It breaks our heart to know that we won’t speak to him again. We loved his phone calls; he was a dear friend to us. Delivering for him was a pleasure. Thank you for touching our hearts Mr. AMARAL, for sharing your life with us and for teaching us what kindness is really about. We will never forget you and you will be dearly missed. We pray for the family to find peace and strength during this time.
