My heart aches with the loss of Karen. She shared several years as a volunteer with Look Good Feel Better with me. We both had a passion for helping people going through side affects of cancer. She will be missed by all our team of volunteers. I enjoyed lunches with her and many fond memories. She loved all her family and took pride sharing pics of all her family. May the happy memories give comfort in the days ahead.

I met Karen almost 31 years ago (October 18th/93) at Soldiers Memorial Hospital . We were roommates and had both had baby boys on the same day. We stayed in touch over the years and went through cancer treatments at the same time. We volunteered for Look Good Feel Better at RVH together. I enjoyed baking cupcakes every February for her as part of a fundraiser.
Karen was a kind friend and a very proud Mama & Gramma. She talked about family every time we met for coffee or volunteered together. We were in touch just five days prior to her passing. I’m so very sorry for your loss, Rudy, Brooke, Lee and Trey. Karen will always have a special place in my heart. With love, Sharon Mascarin

I was lucky enough to have Karen in my children’s and my life at a time when it was desperately needed. She welcomed my children into her home, providing them with an environment of love and a place where I never had to worry that they were being well cared for!
Karen never made me feel judged and encouraged me to make improvements in myself.
People say you remember someone by the way they make you feel and I’m so happy she was in my life!
Sincerest condolences to all of Karen’s friends and family, I can’t imagine the void you must feel.
