Obituary of Sandra Stanlee Johnston

Johnston, Sandra Stanlee Sandra Johnston went peacefully at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday August 14, 2024, at the age of 74, with her family and friends at her side. After a long battle with many health issues, she fought the fight and called the shots as only Sandra could and now, she is at peace. Predeceased by her parents, Elisabeth and Roy Carfrae. Wife of the late Terry Johnston. Loving mother of Terry Jr. (Sandra) and Kevin (Kimm). Cherished grandmother of Meghan (Brandon), Brandon (Megan), Malcolm – predeceased (Mac), Morgan (Jake) and 5 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Hilda (Bob) and Bill – predeceased. Sandra is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. She will be missed by her extended family members, dear friends and her beloved cats. She had a long working career at OSMH that was never a job to her only a passion. She started her career as RPN working in pediatrics for several years. Then was given the opportunity to be head of Volunteer Services which she excelled at. Sandra had hired many, many volunteers over her long career and the volunteers loved to work with her. She will always be remembered for her commitment to the community and her support of charitable organisations during her entire life. She always loved to have people around her. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the hospital staff, hospital services and the many doctors involved in her care.
