Obituary of Ruth Evelyn Watkins

Watkins, Ruth Evelyn Passed away peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday August 23rd, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late William Watkins (2020). Loving mother of Heather Norton (Dennis), and Brent Watkins (Donna). Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Melinda), Brad (Amanda), Brittany (Matt), Cory, (Gabrielle), and Hailey (Tristan); great grandmother of Cohen, Alina, Raina, Crew, Archer, Cooper, Bodhi, and William. Dear sister of Marie Grant and Audrey Heron both predeceased. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E Orillia on Saturday September 14th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Mariposa House Hospice, Alzheimer Society or to the Lighthouse Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
