Obituary of Ytje Helleman

Helleman, Ytje Passed away peacefully at her residence in Orillia with family by her side on Friday August 30th , 2024, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Siem Helleman (2004). Loving mother of Arnold Helleman (Kathryn), Peter Helleman (Sheilagh), Renee Mostert (Richard), Paul Helleman (Krista), and Joanne Kiar - predeceased (Scott). Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jannie (late Kees), Klaas (Aukje), Anneke (Lay), Jetty (Bob) and Henk (Gooike). Ytje will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E Orillia on Tuesday September 3rd , 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 50 Fittons Rd. West in Orillia on Wednesday September 4th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Andrew’s - St. James Cemetery in Orillia. A reception and time of fellowship will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Mariposa House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
