I will never forget Doug he was a true gentleman and always happy to chat whenever we met up at various places he always took the time to catch up and chat. He was a very important part of my life at Georgian College and in our community. I later had the honor of being a caregiver for him and we spent many hours together and had lots of wonderful memories we shared. The world has lost someone who made the world a better place to live in. May he finally rest in peace I will miss you Doug thank you for teaching how to see the world and how to make it a better place for everyone

Sending my heartfelt condolences. I had Doug as a teacher about 12 years ago and was so impressed by his kind and gentle manner. Truly a remarkable man ♥️

I had the privilege of working with Doug at Georgian College, teaching the same courses he taught to students in the evening program. He was a wonderful mentor. Doug was highly respected as a faculty member for his commitment to people with disabilities and passing his compassion and understanding to his students. I was saddened to learn of his long term illness and was sorry to lose touch. My sincere condolences to his famil. Rest in Peace, Doug
