Obituary of Glen McIntosh Dow

Dow, Glen McIntosh November 6, 1948 – October 6, 2024 Passed peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia on Sunday October 6, 2024, in his 76th year. Cherished son of the late Helen Pearson and late James Dow and stepson of the late Eric Pearson. Glen will be sadly missed by his wife Gladys, daughter Heather, son Ken as well as grandchildren Eric and Emily, and extended family Dianne and Lisa. Beloved brother to Margaret (Harvie) Gallagher, the late Stewart (Shirley) Dow, and the late Duncan Dow. Dear stepbrother to Charles (Jeannine) Pearson. Glen will be missed by his many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, friends, and coworkers (Wilson’s Truck Lines). Glen’s family would like to thank the following medical professionals for all their care and support: Dr. Tigchelaar, nurses, and staff at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital - Orillia Dr. Russell and staff at Royal Victoria Hospital – Oncology Department -Barrie Bayshore Clinic Staff – Orillia Couchiching Health at Home – Personal Support Workers and Nurses A special thanks to the Management, Staff and Volunteers at Mariposa House Hospice who provided Glen comfort and care during his time spent with them.
