Elder, Patricia “Pat”
Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Tuesday November 19th, 2024, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of David Elder for 38 years. Loving mother of Angie Joseph (Wayne Isaacs), Charlene Parton and Tony Degouw (Linda Reyes). Cherished Grandmother of Brianna, David, Andrew (Una), Jordan, Meghan and Blake. Dear sister of Diane Gardy (Ken), Debbie Stanton (Bev), Earl Willison (Kim), Terry Willison Chris Willison, Carl Willison (Carol), Robin Willison, Robert Willison (Tracey), and Colleen Willison. Pat’s loss is deeply felt by her immediate family, her best friend Bonnie (of 61 years), Deanna and Kathleen (chosen daughters), many nieces and nephews, as well as anyone who knew her. Pat was known for her loving, caring heart and love for her family and her fur baby Daisy. She was active in her church, Church on The Hill, as well as in the Red Hatters, Orillia. Pat had compassion for life and for others. She continued to support her family and always extended a hand to anyone in need. Pat and Dave moved to the Sundial Retirement residence almost 2 years ago. She loved all the staff and residents there. She enjoyed doing crafts and the entertainment they would have. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire Strength, Resilience and Generosity in those whose lives she touched. “Please don’t shed any tears, remember all the good times we had” (Words from Pat). She is joined in rest by her mother Marion Smith, father William Allen, Mother-in-law Elda Elder, and her dear friend Herta Csekey, along with many other loved ones throughout her life. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to the staff of OSMH ICU, Dr. Mark Bailey, nursing staff Amanda, Meisha and Audrey for their wonderful support and kindness during this difficult time. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
