Obituary of Michael Latter

Latter: Michael Edward In his 64th, year, and after a long illness. Mike passed away at this home Orillia on Friday December 20th, 2013. Born in London Ontario, Mike is sadly missed by his parents Barbara and Neill, his former wife Genefer, his three children Theresa (Steve), Matthew (Elaine) and Kathleen (Jayson), his grandchildren Maeve Quinlan and Lily Crawford and his many cousins and friends. Mike graduated with honors in journalism from Sheridan College and spent most of his productive years as Assistant Editor of the newspaper in Dryden Ontario. He was a prolific song writer and enjoyed playing his guitar. He will be remembered for his inspired writings, his music and his gentle sense of humor. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in London Ontario. A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home 38 James Street E. Orillia on Saturday April 12th, 2014 at 2 p.m. A reception and time of visitation will follow. Members of the Folk Society Song Circle are invited to bring their instruments to participate in the service.
